What others think of you is none of your business

EN:

Caring about other people’s opinions is the biggest obstacle to your happiness, and the thing that will constantly draw you back and keep you from progressing in life. And why is that?

Glad you asked.

So many people these days, especially teenagers and young adults, tend to suppress their desires and even their true personalities because they fear of what other people would think about their actions. “What will my mom say?”, “What will grandpa say?”, “How will my classmates feel about me doing that?”. All of these are frequent and seemingly harmless obstacles, small thoughts which make you question your most genuine wishes and sometimes determine you to give up on some things, ideas or even precious passions of yours, because you are worried that your definition of “right” does not correspond to theirs.

Something about friends

EN:

“You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with.” – Jim Rohn

It is extremely unfortunate that so many people with huge potential are wasting their time and capabilities because they allow the wrong “friends” to influence them. And it is not necessarily about the fact that your closest friends have a big impact on your behavior, which is also true, but it is more about the people you choose to spend your time with, choice which tells a lot about your personality, expectations and perception of life.  Continue reading

Tip Of The Week #3: MAKE YOUR SHOES MORE COMFORTABLE!

MAKE YOUR SHOES MORE COMFORTABLE!

I have only tried this trick with my flats, so I am not sure if it is also going to work on heels or other types of shoes, but feel free to try it. So, if your favorite pair of flats is causing you blisters above your heel and the only choices you have are either to throw them away or stop wearing them, think again! I have learned this trick from one of my friends a long time ago, and it works perfectly for me.

Tip Of The Week #1: MAKE SURE YOU STAY HYDRATED!

MAKE SURE YOU STAY HYDRATED!

I don’t know about you, but I always forget to drink the right amount of water every day. And, as we all know, drinking plenty of water, especially during the summer, is extremely important. Therefore, if you are anything like me and if you tend to forget about the famous 2 liters of water per day, here is the trick that I have been trying for several weeks, and it works pretty well for me.

Seaside edition!
The third packing list is about things you should take with you if you have planned a trip to the seaside. The items in this post, plus the ones already mentioned in the previous two parts of my holiday series, are the must haves for a perfect holiday by the sea.

First and most important tip: USE SUNSCREEN!
Second tip: don’t stay in the direct sunlight between 11:00 a.m and 3:00 p.m.
Third tip: cover your skin with thin, light colored fabrics.
And don’t neglect your hair, it also needs protection!

Holiday Series: Part 2

Here is the second part of my travel essentials list. As I have mentioned in the previous post, this list contains items that you should take with you no matter where you go. As you might notice, I have added items such as shampoo or blow dryer, which you might also have at the hotel, but if you are not sure that the hotel that you have chosen offers the things mentioned above, you should take them with you, just in case.

Holiday Series: Part 1

Aaand I am back, after nine months of absence. I have abandoned my blog because my initial intention was to make Little White Diamond a fashion blog, with photos of the outfits that I wear. When college has begun, I did not have time to take care of my blog, but the biggest problem that I had and that I still have is the fact that I do not have a photographer to take photos of my outfits. Therefore, last year I have decided to give up on my blog and I made it private, so that I would be the only one able to read it.
Until now. I have realized that, only because I can’t have a fashion blog, does not mean that I can’t have a blog at all. So here I am, bringing Little White Diamond back to life!

I know that I might be a little late with this kind of post, but for those of you who haven’t already left  for the holidays, I am here with some tips for having the perfect holiday (or at least the perfect holiday backpack).
My holiday series will have 4 parts, and I will make some lists with the items that you should have with you while on holiday. So, let’s get started. 🙂
